We utilize in-house digital x-ray equipment, which has several advantages. The image quality is more superior and more consistent than previous technologies. The digital equipment also allows us to minimize the time it takes for x-ray studies, which gives us faster answers and more comfortable, less stressed patients. Using telemedicine services, we are able to send images to board certified veterinary radiologists for interpretation, when necessary.
A variety of ultrasound services are also available at Animal Medical Center I-35. We feel very fortunate to have our ultrasound services done by a board certified veterinary radiologist, who is one of the only board certified veterinary radiologists in Oklahoma. The ultrasound is a very valuable tool, and is a non-invasive way to look inside of the body at things such as the heart, liver, kidneys, GI tract, and many other areas.
We also work closely with referral hospitals, sending our patients for other imaging studies, such as CT scans and MRI, when necessary.
With these imaging services, we are able to keep our patients close to home, with a familiar group of doctors and staff.
